Abstract
The distance matrix (top left), combined rendering (top right), and single surface rendering (bottom) of 7 of 8 nearly equally distant isosurfaces for the tenth time step of the ionization data set's GT variable. We identify the set of isosurfaces with an iterative two-stage approach. Their distance to their respective neighbors is very similar, optimally equal. The selected set can be used to get an overview over the volumetric data set, or can serve as an unbiased input to further analysis. The distance matrix shows that the surfaces are basically equally distant. The single surfaces display a comprehensive overview of the underlying volumetric data. The combined rendering shows that the eight isosurfaces cover the whole volume and can reveal several areas of interest.92
