Abstract
In this paper Method of Moment, based Multiple Cavity Modelling Technique (MCMT) is used for analysis of a high-gain and high-bandwidth waveguide longitudinal slot doublets array antenna. Initially single slot doublet milled on waveguide for waveguide fed single slot doublet antenna has been designed. The data related to scattering parameters as well as gain total have been obtained. Subsequently, a seven element slot doublets are milled on waveguide for waveguide fed 7-element slot doublets array antenna has been designed, fabricated and tested over entire frequency range in X-band i.e. 8.2-12.4Â GHz resonance frequency. Reflection Coefficient and Transmission Coefficient data of fabricated antenna have been computed theoretically and where experimentally verified. This was further compared with simulated data as obtained by HFSS. The result thus obtained has validated the proposed design parameters of antenna, as the good agreement was obtained between the results. Further experimental investigation, as carried out with the fabricated antenna, shows high peak gain over the entire coverage of frequency in X-band.
