Abstract
In this letter, we address the problem of downlink power allocation for the generalized clustered distributed antenna systems in the low SNR regime. With the practical assumption that only the large-scale channel state information is known at the transmitter, a sub-optimal power allocation scheme is proposed, subject to a total transmit power constraint for each cooperative clusters. It is observed that the proposed scheme outperforms equal power allocation and selected power allocation. Moreover, the achievable sum rate with the proposed power allocation strategy is demonstrated to be nearly optimal by Monte Carlo simulations.
