A diversified Tabu search approach for the open-pit mine production scheduling problem with metal uncertainty

► We consider the open-pit mine production scheduling problem with metal uncertainty. ► We propose a metaheuristic approach based on Tabu search for solving it. ► We test the proposed approach on realistic large-scale instances. ► Very good solutions are obtained in relatively short computational times.
