Abstract
⺠We propose LP models for approximate simulation of multistage production systems. ⺠The proposed models preserve linearity even when used for optimization. ⺠They can be view as a sort of interface between simulation and optimization of DES. ⺠Used in simulation-optimization, they help to fast reduce the initial solution space. ⺠We show with two different applications the generality of the proposed models.
