Abstract
⺠A method for the calculation of inter-element stresses is proposed. ⺠The presented procedure is the extension of a 2D method recently published. ⺠The method is always applicable for linear elements. ⺠It however shows some peculiarities for the corner nodes of some quadratic elements. ⺠The accuracy of the stresses depends on the accuracy of the FE analysis.
