Abstract
⺠The buildings were detected from high-resolution satellite imagery. ⺠The proposed method was based on an adaptive fuzzy-genetic algorithm approach. ⺠Image morphology was applied as a post-processing step. ⺠The adaptive fuzzy logic module improved the building extraction performance. ⺠The extraction performance was quite satisfactory for urban and suburban buildings.
