Abstract
⺠Land fragmentation is a problem in many parts of the world. ⺠Current land fragmentation indices have significant weaknesses. ⺠A new methodology for measuring land fragmentation has been developed. ⺠The new land fragmentation index significantly outperforms the existing indices. ⺠The methodology employed can be applied to assess the quality of any existing system.
