Abstract
⺠A spatial data mining framework for analyzing crime hotspots is introduced. ⺠A novel model (HOT) is developed to optimize the identification of crime hotspots. ⺠A similarity measure method is introduced to summarize GDPatterns. ⺠GDPattern clusters are used to study the characteristics of crime related variables.
