Abstract
⺠Up to three stress tensor shape descriptors are used as colour function arguments. ⺠3D/2D stress colour functions yield intuitively interpretable stress state colours. ⺠2D colour functions performed excellently on the stress field of Brazilian test. ⺠Stress colouring is usable as auxilliary visualisation method in failure analysis.
