Abstract
⺠Multifocus imaging is devoted to obtain sharply focused images. ⺠We apply this technique to petrography. ⺠A detailed review of selected applications is proposed. ⺠3D models from thin sections can be built. ⺠A comparison of this technique to more sophisticated ones is proposed.
