Abstract
⺠We developed an XML schema as a soil and terrain data exchange format (SoTerML). ⺠The designing approach was to incorporate as much flexibility and reuse as possible. ⺠SoTerML encompasses the existing major databases, standards and classifications. ⺠The functionality of the model is demonstrated as an OGC Web Feature Service.
