Abstract
â¶ A manufacturing chain for an aeroengine part consisting of seven steps has been simulated. â¶ Different finite element codes and meshes have been used to simulate the individual processes. â¶ A data exchange tool was developed for data transfer between models. â¶ The work shows the need for a material model that can describe the material behaviour for a wide temperature, strain and strain-rate range together with varying microstructure.
