Abstract
- We propose a method for the solution of Maxwell's equations of diffusion with Müller's expression for the stress tensor.
- The method is particularly efficient for the solution of the Maxwell-Müller system for low Mach numbers.
- It reduces the number of unknown fields to that of the classical Navier-Stokes/Fick system.
- It is applied to Stefan tube and Hagen-Poiseuille flow in a hollow-fiber membrane tube.
- Numerical results indicate good agreement with classical approximation.
