Abstract
► We evaluate the ridership effects of real-time bus information in Chicago. ► A combined longitudinal data source and a quasi-experimental design were used. ► The provision of bus location information does help increase bus ridership. ► Routes provided with the information at a later stage tend to benefit more. ► There are no obvious geographical variations in the effects of the information.
