Abstract
⺠We propose a method for simultaneous identification of excitations and damages. ⺠Only damage parameters are treated as optimization variables. ⺠Structural response is interpolated with respect to damage parameters. ⺠Numerical costs are further decreased by the virtual distortion method. ⺠The approach is verified numerically and experimentally.
