Abstract
⺠We compare simulations by a BGC model, a gap model and an empirical growth model. ⺠The comparison is based on the current annual volume increment for 1987-2001. ⺠All models show a significant average deviation from inventory. ⺠The year-to-year increment variation was best reproduced by the gap model. ⺠Complex models lose applicability due to extended input data needs.
