Supervised pre-processing approaches in multiple class variables classification for fish recruitment forecasting

► We propose supervised filter pre-processing methods for multi-dimensional classification. ► The pre-processing methods and circumstances with a superior behaviour are identified. ► We show the application to forecasting the recruitment of multiple fish species. ► The multi-dimensional approach improves the forecasting of each species recruitment. ► It improves simultaneous forecasting of all species and probability estimates.
