Abstract
⺠A soil temperature model (SHTM) for regional scale simulations is presented. ⺠Variable time steps give valid results for coarser model time steps. ⺠An analytical lower boundary condition produces stable results. ⺠The model is validated at multiple sites on different temporal scales.
