Abstract
The Au nanorodcore-Agshell exhibited the selective formation of 3-nitroaniline for the reduction of 1,3-dinitrobenzene as compared to 1,3-phenylenediamine in case of Au and Ag nanorods. This demonstrates the essential role of synergistic effect of Au-Ag interface on the catalytic activity and selectivity of bimetallic nanocatalyst.
