Abstract
A novel Bi-based layered BaBiO2Br was successfully prepared by a solid state reaction at different temperature. BaBiO2Br has an indirect-transition optical band-gap of 2.93Â eV and showed photodegradation of RhB under UV light and visible light irradiation.
