Abstract
- Bubbles generated on a flat surface and two saw-tooth surfaces were visualized.
- The bubbles were generated spontaneously from carbonated water.
- Bubble departure mechanism was changed by the surface geometry.
- The surface tension makes the bubble depart from the saw-tooth surfaces.
- Saw-tooth surfaces can produce smaller bubbles than flat surfaces.
