Abstract
- We studied the effect of n-octanol on bubble bouncing and coalescence with solution surface.
- Time of the bubble coalescence depends strongly on the n-octanol concentration.
- The bubble coalescence time was prolonged for higher n-octanol concentration.
- At low concentration, bubble coalescence time was determined by bouncing time, while for high by kinetics of foam film drainage.
- At higher concentrations, the foam films ruptured at thicknesses similar as the equilibrium thickness.
