Abstract
⺠(+)-Spirolaxine represent a bioactive metabolite produced by cultures of the white rot fungus Sporotrichum laxum (Basidiomycetae). ⺠Incubation of spirolaxine with the fungus Absidia cuneospora afforded the 5β-glucosyl derivative with the 32% yield and demonstrated a good antiangiogenic activity. ⺠Trametes hirsuta transform the same metabolite into 5β-xylosyl derivative with a 70% yield.
