Abstract
Ultra-small Rhenium (Re) metal nanoparticles (NPs) assemblies staged and fenced by deoxyribonucleic acids (DNA) as chain-like morphology were synthesized for the first time within a minute of reaction time. Re NPs having diameter â¼0.7 ± 0.1 nm acted as a potential substrate in surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) studies and as a catalyst for the reduction of nitro aromatics in aqueous solution.310
