Abstract
Hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles (HMSNs) were fabricated via a facile dual template method by using the poly(styrene-co-methyl methacrylate-co-methacrylic acid) (PS-PMMA-PMAA) as hollow-structure template and CTAB as a mesostructure directing agent. The synthesized HMSNs has been demonstrated to be good solid supports for depositing Ag nanoparticles, and the Ag-deposited HMSNs showed excellent antibacterial activity against Gram-negative E. coli ATCC 25922 and Gram-positive S. aureus ATCC 6538.64
