Abstract
												- Immobilized nanoscale zerovalent iron on the sineguelas waste biomaterial was proposed.
- S-NaOH-NZVI was prepared with high chemical stability, offering a way to effectively use NZVI.
- Sineguela waste can prevent the aggregation of NZVI and provide opportunity for contaminants treatment.
- S-NaOH-NZVI was effective to remove Pb(II) ions from wastewater.
- XRD analysis indicated the presence of Pb(0) on the S-NaOH-NZVI surface.
