Abstract

- Indium-based coordination polymer particles (In-CPPs) were prepared by solvothermal method.
- The In-CPPs have hierarchical nanostructures and exhibit high surface area and pore volume.
- The In-CPPs exhibit excellent adsorption capability for Congo red in water treatment.
- Morphology-preserved porous In2O3 were derived from In-CPPs.
