Abstract
- Negatively charged amphiphile assemblies interact with cationic polyelectrolytes.
- The assemblies become disassembled as amphiphiles attach onto the polymer.
- Hydrocarbon tails cover the polymer surface to impart surface hydrophobicity.
- This results in phase transfer of polymer from an aqueous to an organic medium.
- The transfer occurs just above the critical aggregation concentration of the amphiphile.
