Abstract
⺠Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) were intercalated with anionic surfactants. ⺠Benzophene was adsolubilized in the interlayer spaces of the LDH. ⺠The products presented absorption in the full UV region and good photostability. ⺠The dermal tests on rabbits did not reveal any clinical signs of toxicity. ⺠The products can be used as active materials in the sunscreens formulations.
