Abstract
⺠Colloidal Science provide effective tools for the preservation of artworks. ⺠Scaling-down of state-of-the-art systems allows the production of fine nanoparticles. ⺠Alkaline-earth hydroxides dispersions are applied for consolidation purposes. ⺠Particles' dispersity and size can be controlled by changing synthetic pathways. ⺠Mixed hydroxide treatments efficiently allow the preservation of historical sites.
