Abstract
⺠The dependency of charging of titania particles is mainly related to the surface-induced electrolytic dissociation. ⺠The solution properties can be normalized as master curves, which express the main features of the dispersion solution. ⺠A recent model characterizing the dependency of conductivity on oxalic acid concentration was found to need improvements. ⺠The assumed direct proportionality between conductivity and proton concentration of the dispersions is rather limited. ⺠The dependency of ζ-potential on proton concentration, conductivity, and surface charge density was very complex.
