Abstract
⺠The effect of surface charge on boundary slip in fluid flow is studied. ⺠Stronger surface charge will lead to smaller effective boundary slip. ⺠In saline the surface charge density is smaller and the slip length is larger than in DI water. ⺠Reducing surface charge should result in smaller drag because of increase in slip length.
