Abstract
► Thin films of pyrenebutyric acid were obtained by electrophoretic deposition. ► Pyrenebutyric acid allowed efficient dispersion of carbon nanotubes. ► Composite pyrenebutyric acid-carbon nanotube films were obtained. ► MnO2-carbon nanotube composites were obtained using pyrenebutyric acid. ► MnO2-carbon nanotube composites are promising materials for supercapacitors.
