Abstract
- Castor plant is a great biorefinery feedstock for biofuel production.
- Alkali pretreated castor residue was converted to 81.1Â g ethanol/kg castor plant.
- Biodiesel empirical model was in a good agreement with the experimental results.
- Maximum biodiesel yield of 85.0% was achieved under the optimum conditions.
