Abstract

- A model for the adsorption equilibria of CO2 on ammonia-modified carbon was developed.
- The contributions of each adsorption mechanism to the total uptake were determined.
- The proposed model was successfully fitted to the equilibrium experimental data.
- Initial isosteric heats were obtained using a temperature-dependent form of the model.
- The loading dependence of the isosteric heat showed an energetically heterogeneous surface.
