Abstract
- Steam gasification of a char formed from a refuse derived fuel (RDF) was studied.
- At low carbon conversions, RDF-derived char is more reactive than other biochars.
- At high conversions, reactivity decreased with conversion (similar to coal chars).
- Steam/char gasification: the apparent activation energy was 96 to 162Â kJÂ molâ1.
