Abstract
- A tubular stainless steel crossflow filter was tested with nuclear waste simulant.
- During five separate 100-h constant pressure tests, filter flux declined with time.
- Data and a filter examination suggested the decline was dominated by filter cake.
- Existing crossflow models did not predict the observed experimental behavior.
- Experimental data was adequately represented by a dead-end filtration model.
