Abstract
Electromagnetic properties of single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) film on the surface of silica fibers have been studied numerically and experimentally. Optical properties of SWCNT layers are strongly influenced by the interference effects and antenna resonances in SWCNTs. Experimentally, the antenna resonances have been verified with low temperature photoconductivity measurements in terahertz range.
► Single wall carbon nanotube coating layers on silica fibers. ► Peaks in photoconductivity spectra are related with antenna effects in nanotubes. ► The antenna effects are evidenced by calculations of the absorption spectra.
