Abstract
												Hexagonal B–C–N crystals have been successfully synthesized by a solvothermal method from carbon tetrachloride and calcium boron nitride at 400 °C. The characterization of synthesized product was carried out using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy equipped with electronic energy loss spectrometer. The composition of the hexagonal B–C–N single crystal is detected by electronic energy loss spectrometer as B0.52C0.11N0.37.
