Abstract
Biotransformation of 1,8-cineole by a strain of Aspergillus terreus isolated from Eucalyptus leaves was investigated.This strain produced four oxygenated compounds identified as 2-exo-hydroxy-1,8-cineole, 2-endo-hydroxy-1,8-cineole, 3-exo-hydroxy-1,8-cineole and 3-endo-hydroxy-1,8-cineole, with good bioconversion percentage and high stereoselectivity.
