Abstract
► SRB has the ability to reduce Cr(VI) to Cr(III) and azo dye reduction simultaneously. ► The removal rate of azo dye is dependent on the type of electron donor source. ► FBRs perform well in terms of COD, sulfate, color and Cr(VI) removals.
