An approximate solution to state problem in coefficient-optimal-control problems*

We consider an optimal control problem (OCP) for semilinear elliptic equations in inhomogeneous anisotropic media with discontinuous coefficients and solution (state) (DCS), as well as a non-linear component of state equations. Imperfect-contact matching condition is given at the inner boundary between media. We construct difference approximations for extremum problems and develop iterative processes for states in the OCPs. Numerical experiments are included.
