Abstract
The Cu-Al layered double hydroxides (CuAl-LDHs) composites were prepared via one-step co-precipitation method and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Glucose could be oxidized electrocatalytically on the CuAl-LDHs composites modified glassy carbon electrode(CuAl-LDHs/GCE) in alkaline solutions as an enzyme-free sensor with high sensitivity (detection limit of 0.02â¯Î¼molâ¯Lâ1), fast response (less than 5â¯s) and wide linear range (0.1-240â¯Î¼molâ¯Lâ1). Furthermore, the proposed sensor showed strong anti-interference ability in the presence of dopamine, ascorbic acid, uric acid, acetaminophen and other carbohydrate compounds. The CuAl-LDHs/GCE was used successfully for the determination of glucose in human blood samples.
