Abstract
- A highly selective fluorimetric reagent for formaldehyde was rationally designed and synthesized.
- The fluorimetric reagent can react with formaldehyde at mild conditions, including room temperature and MeCN containing 5% HOAc.
- The reaction between reagent and formaldehyde was finished within 4Â min.
- Fluorescent test papers loaded with this reagent were prepared, and successfully applied in the detection of formaldehyde qualitatively.
