Abstract
MWCNT-based gas sensor devices were successfully decorated by electrophoretic deposition of Au NPs with controlled size and loading, for the detection of NO2 polluting gas at operating temperature in the range of 100-200 °C. The fine tune of the Au loading on MWCNTs has allowed to control not only the sensitivity but also the selectivity. Finally, binary gas mixtures (NO2/NH3 and NO2/H2S) were performed to evaluate the detection of the targeted NO2 gas, simulating possible real-world conditions.
