Abstract
- Cu-coated nanoporous gold film (NPGF) was facilely fabricated by electrochemistry.
- The very thin Cu coating did not change the nanoporous structure of gold.
- Co-mediating of Cu(II)/Cu(III) and Au/Au(I) enhanced catalytic oxidation of glucose.
- The proposed amperometric sensor showed excellent performance in sensing of glucose.
- The sensor was successfully applied to detect glucose in human blood serum.
