Abstract
- Present work highlighted on designed synthesis of a Schiff-base PyMD for fluorescence based detection of zinc metal ion.
- UV-vis, fluorescence, life time analysis, 1H NMR titration and HRMS analysis confirm 1:1 complex formation.
- DFT was also employed for theoretical affirmation of experimental findings regarding metal-ligand complexation.
- This ligand was successfully used for quantification of zinc ion in some real natural samples.
