Abstract
- In recent years materials with porous architecture and high surface area are being developed for numerous potential applications in nanotechnology.
- Combustion synthesis may be a promising synthesis method for commercial needs.
- Orthorhombic Mg2SiO4:Eu3+ phosphor has been prepared using combustion technique at very low temperature (350 °C).
- Present phosphor showed excellent CIE chromaticity co-ordinates; as a result it was quite useful for display applications.
- The phosphor show different emissions due to Eu3+ corresponding to 5D0 â 7FJ (J = 0,1,2,3,4) transitions.
