Abstract
⺠Complete extrudate swell results for Newtonian fluids for a range of fluid mechanics parameters. ⺠The effects of Reynolds, Stokes, capillary numbers, slip at the wall, pressure-dependence of viscosity are studied. ⺠Detailed results are given for the swell ratio and the pressure drop in the system. ⺠Benchmark numerical results are given numerically for Ca effect. ⺠The effect of all parameters is explained in physical terms.
